How to enter our challenge

Hello all you crafters

Design Team Call For September, October and November 2014

Wanted crafters who love to use stamps in their projects.
As soon as I started stamping I became fascinated with how versatile they were and how many different ways they could be used. There can be little surprise that I went on to start designing stamps and create my own stamp company.
I am again looking for other crafters from a range of backgrounds and crafts to join a Design Team. Requirements include:
1.            Commit to 3 months involvement with the team. September, October & November 2014.
2.                Excellent photography skills for taking pictures of your projects
3.           Ability to create inspirational/educational weekly blog posts with Oak House Studio products.
4.               Participation in a mini one stamp event. Details of last year can be found on the website. (The provisional date for this year is in October, but you will have your kit in time to make ahead of the date if need be).
5.               Promote Oak House Studio products, offers and challenges as widely as possible   including on your blog and Facebook.

Does that sound fun?  If it does, it’s about to get better.  Here’s what I’ll do for you in return:
*            The stamps, plus inks and embossing powder sent to you in advance.
*                BONUS parcel chosen by YOU to be sent out on completion of the 3 months.
*                Link from our blog and Facebook page to your personal blog
My undying gratitude and amazement for your creations

What do you need to do to enter?  That’s easy too!

1.               Submit photos of 3 of your favourite projects that highlight your own personal use of stamps. (Please note, do not send examples made with digital images as we need to see your ability with a real stamp)
2.               Projects should show you know our products and how to use them. Please use Oak House Studio products for samples if possible.
3.                Include links to your active blog.
4.               Write up a quick bio about yourself, mentioning why you’re interested in being on the DT, what experience (if any) you have with DTs, and why you love stamping. Please list any other Design teams you are currently involved with or intend to be involved with during the 3 months term.
5.                Tell me about the groups you belong to and any classes you attend or teach.
6.                Send by email to oakhousestudio@gmail.com
7.                Submissions must be received NO LATER than Sunday 10th August  2014.
8.                 Wait impatiently as I collect the submissions and choose who I can use for this project.

Clematis Corner Wedding

Two members of the team produced very different work for this challenge with the same stamp, for me this reflects just how much of yourself you put into a stamped project. Because you chose your own colours schemes, you chose card and inks and colour mediums etc.
You really do add something of yourself to the project. Anyway less of me and my soap box. Here is the results we would love to see yours.

One stamp comment winner

I promised an ink pad storage unit and some ink pads to someone who left a comment, I gave you til Tuesday night to leave your comments and you may be wondering why I haven't drawn the winner.
Simple answer, it was such a big job, I kept putting it off until I "had time". I often do that and find the jobs only takes me 15 minutes in the end. Not this time it has taken me hours to go through all the posts and record the people who have left comments.
First of all I had to cut up more paper, then I had to find a bigger bowl, finally using an old copper jam pan
So yet again I am overwhelmed by the way people joined in the challenge this time, Thank you all so much and can I just say of you if didn't win this time, keep joining in our challenges and maybe you will be lucky next time.

So the winner is Rachel, a worthy winner who comment on most posts all weekend, Well Done Rachel. Please contact me with your address and I will post your proze out to you.

Happily Ever After

Hi Lynne here.

I've been playing with the Spring bloom Stamps to create a wedding card, place name / favour box and Thank you card.

I started by stamping the flowers in orchid ink and the leaves in spring green on Oak House Studio stamping card. They were then hand cut.

Here's the wedding card (it could easily be an invitation if you changed the sentiment)

The place setting / favour box :

all three together.

Don't forget to post your entry for the challenge, you could win £40 to spend on the website and Lynnda has added lots of stamps plus some new inks colours.

Wedding Invitation Card

A quick invitation card - especially if you have a lot to make!

Used a textured card base and an Invitation Sentiment from my stash.
I stamped the beautiful Dotty's Rose Stamp and used Detail Gold Embossing Powder.
I coloured using the Chemistry Ink in a Bottle French Wine  and the green was my own mix of Spode Blue and Citrus Yellow. Edged the sentiment with the Dusky Rose Ink pad
here's the link for the Ink and Stamp Information  -

Hope you can take up the invitation to put a photo of one of your cards into our Challenge.

Walesby Heart for Your Man?

Thought this quick make using the Walesby Heart would be suitable to give to a man....

I spritzed Regal Claret and Tempting Teal and then dropped "drops" with my pipettes. Left them to dry and then scored a decorative frame. Stamped the sentiment with Wine Ink Pad. die ccut a heart shape and then made a paper clay heart with my medium Walesby Heart. Left to dry and then distressed over with French Wine and Powder Blue on the edge of the die cut. Added liquid pearls o edge the heartand highlight the scrolls.
There's still time to leave a comment on the Blog entries for the One Stamp Challenge - you may win a great prize!

Revitalise An Old Tee-Shirt

Hello everyone, Sylv here with another One Stamp Project.  Something a little different this time, a decorated tee-shirt.

I used TAP transfer paper, the Walesby Heart and powder blue pigment ink to create the motif, just stamp the heart four times onto the tap paper and iron onto your tee-shirt using a very hot iron and you have a tee-shirt with a new lease of life.

The motif was decorated with crystals using a candy cane and hot glue backed crystals and a fancy button.

You will find the Walesby Heart and a wonderful array of inks in the Oak House Studio Shop.

Nearly at the end of of our 24 hours but you are welcome to keep adding your makes to the Facebook group.
Keep leaving comments to win.

Dream a little Dream!

Elaine here with an inky project using a Bisque Plaque for the ONE STAMP challenge - I've used the Medium Walesby Heart teamed with the Heart Palette stamp.

I thought I'd see how well the Inks in a Bottle perform on the Bisque surface. The base layer is a mix of Citrus Yellow, Citrus Orange and a touch of Glorious Gold - they dry immediately on the surface so it was easy to just keep adding colour.  The Heart Palette stamp is inked with Pumpkin Orange and the Walesby Heart is stamped with Black.  I've blended more Pumpkin Orange and Golden Yellow Pigment Ink around the edges as a frame.

I'm just short of a drill to make some holes for the ribbon but thought I'd post this now.  Hope you're enjoying all the One Stamp posts this weekend and remember to leave a comment for your chance to win an Ink Pad Storage unit.   Thanks for looking!!

Inkyness and Walesby Heart

Hiya, Barbara D here, with a quick update on my inky cards....
All sentiments, stamps and colours from the Colour Chemistry range, at Oak House Studio.

Five small hearts, heat-embossed with Seafoam White ep, and coloured with Paris Pink, Teal and Damson spray inks.

Splodges of Citrus Lime and Citrus Yellow spray inks.....hearts done same as above, onto inky cardstock coloured with Citrus Yellow and Jubilee Red.

Bobby's grey inkpad for sentiment, and a mix of colours for the heart.

Small 'thank you' cards, with splodges in various colours.... all from Oak House Studio, of course. Hearts embossed and double-layered.

Well, that's me, inkied and hearted out.....keep checking back for updates from the rest of the DT. Creations are coming thick and fast....some fantastic inspiration xx

One Stamp Project In Clay

Hi, Sylv here, hope you have had fun making a few One Stamp Projects today.

Here is a key ring made using Magic Sculp smooth epoxy putty.  The putty was shaped into a heart shape and stamped with the pattern of the Walesby Heart stamp.  The putty was allowed to dry, a hole drilled to take the key ring and Treasure Gold rubbed on the raised pattern.

Simple but effective, Oak House Studio stamps are so detailed they are super for stamping into clay, but do remember to wash your stamp immediately so the clay does not dry on the stamp.
