Inspiration for June's challenge from Lisa

Hi,
Lisa here,
A little more inspiration for this month's Challenge, remember you have until the end of the month to get your entries in to win £40 to spend on the website. Just create your own "Something Blue" project using at least one Oak House Studio product and leave the details in a comment on the blog.

Here is another one of my creations for the "Something Blue" challenge.

I used Oak House Studio Walesby Flourish stamp, Triple Butterfly Stamp SetOak House Studio Colour Chemistry ink -  'Midnight' and 'Powder Blue'
Oak House Studio 'Ink In A Bottle' Glorious Gold spray from the metallics range and Oak House Studio 'Ink In A Bottle' French Mint spray and Totally Turquoise spray.

I started with the Walesby Flourish and stamped it randomly on to White Stamping Card with powder blue ink then sprayed it with the Glorious Gold metallic spray.

I stamped two butterflies on to a tag using Midnight then sprayed French Mint over the top and tied some ribbon which was coloured with Totally Turquoise spray.

To finish, I stamped the sentiment from the Triple Butterfly Collection with Midnight ink and mounted it on to 3D foam.

Don't forget Lynnda sells tags and stamping card on the Oak House Studio website too.

I hope I have inspired you to join in with the challenge this month.

Have a look at our previous posts here on the blog or you can also join us over at our facebook group here.

And next month we have a fabulous "ONE STAMP" challenge that we are all so excited about. You can find out more here.

Hope to see you soon.
Toodles for now... Lisa xxx

These days we seem to be surrounded by all sorts of health issues. Crafting is my great cure all for most that ails me, so what ever is the problem find a way to join in our "Something Blue" challenge.

Here are a few samples from the design team using the Triple Butterfly stamp set.

They have all made great use of their Ink in a bottle and this month they all seem to spraying them for backgrounds.

One stamp............are you ready?

Hello stampers, hi-de-hi. It's Clare here.   Well I was doing a little something blue and ended up using the Walesby heart stamp which as some of you may already know is going to be the one stamp challenge that is taking place on July 12th&13th.  The Walesby heart is available in 3 different sizes, in this project I have used  the small and the medium.

For this card I have used

Spode blue ink

I spritzed French mint, Spode blue and pearly silver ink onto my card.  I then faintly stamped the smaller Walesby stamp around the outside in sea blue.  After that I stamped the medium Walesby stamp in the centre with sea blue and embossed with clear embossing powder. I decorated my card using some die cut flourishes, liquid pearls and some turquoise dots.

So go for it, set aside the 12th&13th July and treat yourself to a crafty weekend and take part in the challenge.
You can find out more on the website HERE and join the Facebook group to post your ONE STAMP projects on there.
Crafty hugs,

Come and join in the fun.

Hi guys, Lisa here with a bit of inspiration for the June challenge - "Something Blue".

The challenge runs till the end of the month, so there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.... come on, have a go.

All the details of how to enter are available HERE on this blog.

For this card I chose to work with the Oak House Studio Triple Butterfly stamp set, 'Midnight' and 'Powder Blue' Colour Chemistry ink pads and the utterly gorgeous 'Glorious Gold' spray from the 'Ink In A Bottle' metallics range.

Here is what I created...

I played around with the Oak House Studio Triple Butterfly set for this one. As we know, I adore butterflies so this stamp set wasn't a hard one to chose.

I stamped the butterfly on to white stamping card with Oak House Studio Colour Chemistry 'Midnight' ink a number of times concentrating in the bottom left corner. I coloured the butterflies with 'Midnight' and 'Powder Blue' ink using a waterbrush.

I stamped a couple of extra butterflies on to stamping card and cut them out. I coloured them the same way then sprayed Oak House Studio 'Ink In A Bottle 'Glorious Gold' spray over the top. I mounted them using 3D foam pads.

To finish, I stamped the 'spread your wings' sentiment in the top corner.

Either leave a comment with a link to your project or join us over at our Facebook group here.

And next month we have a fabulous "ONE STAMP" challenge that we are all so excited about. You can find out more here.

Hope to see you all soon,
Toodles, Lisa xxx

Simply Brilliant

There are times when keeping it simple creates stunning results.
This set if cards by designer Rae Dalal show how you can create a great card without lots of layers and embellishments.

These first two cards use the Script Sentiment stamps and a trio of inks pads for our Colour Chemistry range.
The colours is question are Midnight, Powder Blue and Sea Blue.
You could of course create a similar look with say Powder Blue, Orchid and spring green.

My favourite card of the set below uses shadow stamping,  clever but simple shapes and mats to carry the coordinated theme through.
Rae has used
Script Sentiments set
Harlequin Pattern Set
Mountain ash leaf stamp

Don't forget we want to see your projects so go use your Oak House Products to make " Something Blue" and show us what you made. A winner will be chosen at random for a £40 voucher to spend on the website.

Well this month Lynnda challenged the new design team to do "Something Blue" here are the first projects to inspire you.

Interestingly the new design team had a free choice of stamps and inks for this months theme, but it would seem they all liked some of Lynnda's favourite stamps. Check out these designs all featuring the Double Daisy stamp set. The set consists of two stamps that work great together and are equally inspiring apart.

The stamp set is available in two sizes, check out the website to find more lovely stamps to inspire you to be creative too.

Bright and Beautiful

Hello, Eileen here with a selection of cards that I've made over the last few months with Oak House Studio products.
The butterfly card was created useing three gorgeous stamps from the Oak House Studio Range. The large and small Charming Butterflies along with a real favourite of mine, The Mountain Ash Leaf. The leaf image was stamped using Distress inks. The butterflies were stamped with black pigment ink onto the card and also on to some spare, scrap card that I sprayed with Citrus Colours, from the Inks in a Bottle Range. It was very easy, cutting the butterflies out and then layering them onto the card.

Staying with the Mountain Ash Leaf Image, I made two tags from White Card stock, also from Oak House Studio, its so smooth and I use it a lot for my tags.

The next three of cards are samples that I designed with Oak House Studio Stamps and Inks for a couple of workshops last year.
They were very popular with my 'Students'.(Two of the sentiment stamps were from my stash.)

Thank you for popping over for a look today. The Oak House Studio Web Shop is always open. Look here.
